The 73rd Miss Universe competition will take place on Saturday, 16 November, in Mexico City.

A total of 128 stunning contestants from around the globe, including Miss Croatia Zrinka Ćorić, participated in the preliminary competition at the DCMX Arena, in front of a crowd of 18,000.

The competition included scores in swimwear and evening gowns, with contestants also showcasing their national costumes.

Additionally, a 10-minute interview with the judges played a key role in deciding the top 30 semi-finalists.

This year, the participants also had the opportunity to highlight not only their physical beauty but also their values through the “Voice for Change” projects, which focused on addressing various social issues.

This initiative has become a significant criterion in selecting the winner.

“This initiative emphasises the importance of positive social change. The platform draws attention to global challenges, such as equality, education, healthcare, and environmental concerns. Through their stories and projects, contestants aim to inspire and motivate others to contribute to creating a better world,” explained Ivana Delač, former Miss Universe Croatia.

Zrinka’s Project: “Cycle of Support”

“At the Voice for Change competition, I presented a project titled Cycle of Support, in collaboration with the Sonta Foundation. The project focuses on menstrual health for girls in Tanzania who lack access to basic hygiene supplies.

Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of menstrual health and provide education, which positively impacts the mental health of these girls. I believe menstrual health is fundamental to personal well-being and social progress. Our mission is to give every girl the opportunity for a healthy and dignified life,” Zrinka shared.

Fan Voting and the Iconic Crown

The final top 30 will also include a contestant with the most fan votes from around the world. You can still vote for Zrinka by downloading the Miss Universe mobile app and casting your vote.

A few days before the final, the Miss Universe organisation unveiled a new crown, “The Light of Infinity,” created by Jewelmer.
