A brilliant Luka Modric has helped Real Madrid to a convincing 5:1 home win against Athletic Bilbao in Madrid last night.
Modric, who played the full 90 minutes, shone last night in his role in the centre of the park. Modric was instrumental in setting up the first goal. In the 12th minute, Modric found striker Karim Benzema with a precision 50 yard ball and the Frenchman clinically done the rest to make it 1:0.
Benzema was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick to leave Real Madrid in 3rd place on the table.
