Croatia is currently the talk of the world thanks to their ‘Cinderella story’ at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Media all over the world have focused on the nation which has won hearts with their performances which have seen them become the second smallest nation in history to make the World Cup Final.
A nice little feature has aired on CBS Dallas news in the build-up to Sunday’s final. Back in March Zlatko Dalic, Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and the rest of the team visited Adriatica Village in McKinney, Texas, which is a 45-acre replica of the Croatian village of Supetar on the island of Brac, on their US Tour.
After visiting the picturesque little seaside village of Supetar on the Croatian island of Brac almost a decade ago, American developer Jeff Blackard was so impressed with what he saw that he decided to build a replica village in a Texas suburb.
The village includes single-family homes, businesses and shops such as a day spa, an Italian restaurant, a wine bistro, a real estate office, a florist and a Starbucks.
Check out when the Croatian team comes to town in the segment from CBS Dallas below.
