The Croatian island of Vis is one of the favourites for the European Film Location Award for the best European location.
The European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) announced the finalists in the European Film Location Award for the best European location earlier this month.
Among the candidates this year was the island of Vis thanks to the filming of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!. The sequel to the Hollywood blockbuster, which starred Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Cher, was filmed in September and October last year on the island of Vis for 24 days, with more than 270 Croatian film professionals and extras engaged.
Voting was opened to the public and after three weeks of votes, Vis is one of the favourites for the title. Vis was the second top location in voting over the last week, just behind Corfu where The Durrells was filmed.
Public voting will close tomorrow on Friday, 30 November. To vote click here.
