ZAGREB, 6 May 2020 – One of Belgium’s most-watched commercial television broadcasters, VTM, has aired a two-minute report yesterday, in which Croatia was highlighted as the “corona-free” destination.
It said that some countries such as Croatia, Greece, and Portugal have a very good situation related to the coronavirus epidemic, and everything is accompanied by beautiful sceneries of the Croatian coast and islands from the latest communication concept of the Croatian National Tourist Board #CroatiaLongDistanceLove.
“The current situation in our country for Belgian television was commented by former Belgian footballer Frane Bućan, who noted that Croatia has organised excellent defense against the coronavirus and that Croats have been extremely disciplined in carrying out all the prescribed measures”, said the Director of the CNTB Representative office in Belgium, Ivan Novak.
Also, the world-renowned fashion magazine Paris Vogue on its Facebook profile, which is followed by more than 5 million people, posted a photo of a Kolovare’s Zadar swimming pool with the description “Sunny afternoon sounds perfect in Croatia”. The author of the photo is the famous photographer Cameron Hammond, who described the creation of this idyllic photo: “Many people ask me if the scene is cut. My wife Rachel and I visited Zadar for the first time and spent hours watching children jump into the sea. Rachel went for a swim and stopped to get a better look at the jump room, and I just caught her with my camera. ”
CNTB’s Managing Director Kristjan Stanicic is pleased with recent announcements about Croatia in prestigious foreign media. “Positive announcements are extremely great for the image of our country as a safe destination and they increase Croatia’s visibility on the tourist map of the world. We hope to continue the positive trends, but also the arrival of guests in our country when all the necessary conditions are fulfilled for that”, commented Stanicic.
