Watch Modric Doco Shown On Spanish TV


A short documentary film about the football beginnings of Croatian star Luka Modric, filmed last month in his birth place of Zadar on the Dalmatian Coast, Zaton Obrovacka and Zagreb, premiered last night on Spanish television station Canal +, writes website Tportal.

Crew from the ‘Fiebre Maldini’ programme visited Croatia and spoke to Modric’s former coaches at Zadar, Dinamo Zagreb, Zrinjski Mostar and Inter Zapresic, club officials, team-mates when he was a kid playing at Zadar and journalists.

“The objective was to show the inspirational human story of a boy who was from a small town who went from a hellish war to the world’s greatest football stage,” said the author of the project Gaby Ruiz.

The documentary, titled ‘Los Orígines de Modric’ (The Origins of Modric), features rare video footage from Modric’s younger days and can be viewed at the link below:
