ZAGREB, 28 May 2020 – In order to reduce congestion at border crossings and shorten the waiting time for crossing the state border, which will be longer this year due to the need to collect additional data, the Croatian government has launched a new website today.
The website is currently available in Croatian and English, and over the next few days will be available in more than ten languages, such as German, Slovenian, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, and Polish.
“Passengers who submit their data on the website will not experience additional delay at the border crossing by having to provide the necessary data because the border police will have this data in the system,” the Civil Protection Authority said.
Also, passengers who submit data in this way will receive confirmation and all the necessary information related to the instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
“I recommend that foreign citizens who intend to stay in Croatia submit information via the website in advance,” Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said at a cabinet meeting today.
Passengers who do not submit their data in advance via the website will be able to do all this at the border crossing when entering the Republic of Croatia, but they will need a longer waiting time in a separate lane.
