Weekend Of Truffles Festival In Buzet

Buzet, a charming town with an abundance of cultural and historical monuments nestled in the region of Istria in western Croatia, has this weekend played host to the traditional annual festival Weekend of truffles. The town, which is also renowned for its pristine nature and local wines, is also home to the highly esteemed White Truffle, which was on display over the weekend at the festival.

Held traditionally in the first weekend of November, visitors had a chance the past two days to see, taste and buy truffles, products of truffles, and home-made products such as honey, wine, olive oil, prosciutto, cheese, marmalades and jams.

There was activities for the kids, including the Small school of cooking, where visitors got the chance to learn how to prepare truffles with the help from a professional cook, truffle-hunting demonstration, trekking activity and loads more.
