What Croatia’s Capital has in Store for New Year’s Eve

More than 50,000 people are expected to see in 2015 at a number of locations in Croatia’s capital Zagreb. On New Year’s Eve there will be a number of events going on in the city…
Once again Zagreb’s main Ban Jelačić square will be one of the main attractions of the night. Kicking off at 9pm, a number of musicians will be performing on the night, including the Telefon Blues Band, Davor Gobac, Boris Leiner and Renata Metessija, Jura Stublić and grupa Film, Jurica Pađen and Aerodrom, with the traditional fireworks display going off at midnight.
On Zrinjevac, just around the corner from the main square, the New Year will be bought in by All Stars Band and Tena, whilst Ljetno kino will perform at Fuliranje on Tomićeva street. On the new European square, situated a couple hundred metres away from the main square, there will be a full music and gastro programme until 1am.
King Tomislav square will also be open with DJ’s, food and music prepared for the night, whilst the brand new ice park located there will close early on the night.
Boćarski dom will hold the largest closed-venue event of the night with an electronic music festival, which will see performances from Thomas Gold, Mark Knight and a number of other local and international acts. Hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs will also be hosting a New Year’s Eve programmes on the night.
