Finding a place to have a coffee is definitely not a problem one faces in the Croatian capital.
With just over 4,500 cafes, which is around 1 cafe per 177 people, finding a cafe is not hard. Going for a coffee is something ingrained in the lifestyle but not all cafes serve great quality coffee.

Cogito Coffee Shop
Cogito’s warm atmosphere is matched by their quality coffee. Here those use a range of beans from places like Brazil, Indonesia, Ethiopia and Central America.

The coffee on offer changes with the seasons with a number of exotic beans, including from Brazil and Kenya. You can also buy beans here to take home.

Express Bar
Express Bar in Petrinjska just off the main square serves quality coffee from all over the world. With friendly staff and welcoming decor, it is one of the best places in town.

Quahwa
Quahwa is located in the centre of town cafe and is also a small roastery. Again they have coffee on the menu from beans from exotic places all over the world, including Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil and Indonesia. They also do a great Turkish style brew.

Another worthy mention.
Najgora Kava u Gradu
Although their name translates to The Worst Coffee in Town, that is the complete opposite. A funky little cafe in the heart of town serving fantastic freshly ground coffee from all over the world. They do a fantastic ice-coffee and espresso also and offer take-out.
