Wimbledon: Croatia’s Pavić and Mektić into doubles final

LONDON, 8 July 2021 – The unstoppable Croatian doubles team have reached the final of Wimbledon.
Mate Pavić and Nikola Mektić won their semi-final today at the All England Club to reach yet another final in 2021.
The Croatians, who are the tournament’s number one seeds, beat Rajeev Ram from USA and UK’s Joe Sailsbury in two sets 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 to reach Saturday’s final.
Today’s semi-final was a repeat of last month’s final of the Eastbourne International which also went Pavić and Mektić’s way.

The Croatians have been unstoppable since teaming up for the first time at the start of the year. In 2021 they have won the Rome Masters, the Antalya Open, the Murray River Open, the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, the Miami Open, Monte-Carlo Masters and Eastbourne International.
In the final they will meet the winners of the match between Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers and Simone Bolleli and Maximo Gonzalez.
