Wireless Mobile Access Soon All Over Croatia

Smartphone users in Croatia will soon be able to enjoy wireless internet access in all areas of country. The two largest telco operators in the country (VIP and HT) have both submitted their bids for the frequencies which will offer high-speed wireless broadband, reports RTL television.
VIP have offered 110.1 million kuna (16 million EUR) to provided services on the 4G network for one block, while Hrvatski Telecom (T-Com) have offered 105.1 and 105.6 million for both remaining blocks.
“What this means for users is that not only those who are privileged to live in Zagreb and in centers of major cities, but the residents all over the entire country will have access to broadband Internet (100 MB per second),” said Dražen Lučić , chairman of the Croatian Post and Telecommunications Agency. Only the latest smartphones will be compatible with the network.
