Franchise owner Ivan Lovaković, a long-time gastronomy enthusiast in Slavonski Brod, wanted to introduce something fresh to the local food scene.

“I’ve been in the food business for years and, alongside kebabs, I wanted to offer something different. As a big fan of wok dishes—and especially Matija’s creations in Zagreb—I knew this would be a great fit,” said Lovaković.

The menu caters to all tastes, offering three types of meat, seafood options, and over ten different sauces. One of the biggest hits is the spicy wok served in a crispy flatbread, which has already become a favourite among customers.

One of the key goals of Wok by Matija is to maintain consistency in taste. To achieve this, the Slavonian branch uses the same homemade noodles, made in the brand’s Zagreb production facility, and pairs them with specially crafted sauces.

“Our base remains the same whether you eat in Zagreb or Slavonski Brod. The noodles come from our Zagreb facility, and we ensure that all vegetables are locally sourced in Slavonia to meet our quality standards,” said Matija Nikolić.
