World & Olympic Champions Competing in Zagreb at IAAF World Challenge Meeting

A number of the world’s best athletes will be competing in the Croatian capital next week in the IAAF World Challenge meeting.
The 67th Hanžeković Memorial, which will be held at Mladost in Zagreb on Tuesday 29 August 2017, is the penultimate IAAF World Challenge meeting of the year.
Among the stars who will be performing in Zagreb include a number of Olympic and World Champion, including Croatia’s own Sandra Perkovic, Sara Kolak, and men’s shot put champ Tom Walsh from New Zealand.
Jamaican 100m sprinter Asafa Powell will return to Zagreb to compete, as too will 200m World Champion Ramil Guliyev, who won Turkey’s first ever gold medal in the World Championships in London this month.
Other stars in action include Olympic winner and London silver medalist Dawn Harper Nelson, Queen Harrison, Christina Manning and Croatia’s bronze medal winner in the shot put at the World Championships in London, Stipe Zunic.
