Young Croatian male model building big international career

Tuesday 11 December 2018 – Young Zagreb model Patrik Cvetko is currently the most sought-after Croatian male model. Only 24-years-old, Patrik has already worked for some of the biggest names in the fashion industry.
His resume includes a number of runway shows, campaigns, editorials and events like the Milan Fashion Week. For the past year, the blue-eyed model has lived between Zagreb and Los Angeles where he recently signed on the books at one of the prestigious IMG Models agency.
Last week, Patrik was a guest at the glamours GQ Men of the Year party in Los Angeles.
“GQ Men of the Year was a very interesting event. It was held at the Benedict Estate residence in Beverly Hills. It started with a dinner with a small group of people hosted by GQ director Jim Nelson. Among others at the dinner included Jonah Hill, Michael B. Jordan, Jeff Goldblum, Olivia Wilde and Henry Golding. In total there were 25 people with me at the table,” Patrik told daily Jutarnji list, adding that he particularly enjoying chatting with Michael B. Jordan.
Patrik grew up in the Croatian capital Zagreb and despite having all the predispositions for the job, he was never interested in becoming a model. He says that it was due to his sister that he eventually got involved in the modelling world.
It did not take long for him to then catch the eye of international agents and the offers for work started to roll in.
“I started modelling when I was 19. I never thought about becoming a model, nor did it ever attract me. It was my sister actually he introduced me to it and convinced me. I first started working in Zagreb, but soon I was getting offers from international agencies in Europe and America,” Patrik says.
“From the start of this year, I have been spending time in Los Angeles, with the rest of the year spent in Croatia, Paris, Germany, Milan
Patrik has worked on a number of campaigns already but says his favourite so far was for the perfume brand Police which he shot in Rome.
His focus now is on the American market and he says he hopes to work for the likes of Versace, Saint Laurent, Dsquared and Diesel.
