Young Croatian violinist Carolina Blašković (20) has won the prestigious 2016 American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition…
Blašković, who is from the capital Zagreb but is currently studying in London, was the youngest of 62 participants in the College students and professional musicians category. Carolina beat participants from all over the world, including USA, Hungary, Australia, and South Korea.
For winning her category Carolina, who is studying in London at RCM-Royal College of Music, now gets a chance to perform at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York. The American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition is open to school students and adults of all nationalities and countries.
Carolina has already won a number of national and international awards, including the Flame Competition in Belgium, Bravo Competition in Paris and the Stockholm International Music Competition in Sweden. She has performed a number of concerts all over Croatia, the UK, Slovenia and Poland.
