Youth Unemployment Hits Record High In Croatia – 51.6%

Croatia’s youth unemployment rate hit 51.6% in March, the highest in the nation’s history, the Adriatic Institute for Public Politics announced.
Despite the astronomically high numbers, Croatia does not hold the record in Europe for the highest youth unemployment rate. Greece has the dubious honour with 59.1%, followed by Spain with 55.9%. The lowest rate of youth unemployment in the European Union is in Germany and Austria (7.6%), followed by the Netherlands (10.5%) and Denmark (14.5%).
