Bandić (58), who has been Mayor of Croatia’s capital since 2005, was arrested, along with 19 others, on suspicion of corruption, bribery and organised crime on 19 October. The court will release the Mayor once he fronts up with what is a record 2 million euro bail money in cash. Part of his bail conditions also include him being forbidden to return to work as Mayor. He is expected to be released later today says daily 24sata.
