ZAGREB, Aug 7 (Hina) – The Zagreb Festival of Artistic Flags, a unique event displaying small flags, will be held in downtown Zagreb from August 10 to 20 with 350 artistic flags from about 20 countries.
The festival’s organisers have said that this year is the first time the festival will be held independently and not as part of the Cest is d’Best street festival.
The theme of this year’s festival is “Europe’s Identity (Europe Intimately)” and each author will present their own vision of Europe today.
The flags will be displayed from the city’s main Ban Josip Jelacic Square to Zrinjevac, Europe Square and August Cesarec street.
Participating in the event will be artists from Croatia as well as from Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Finland, India, Italy, Canada, Russia, USA, Slovenia, Serbia and Uruguay.
The festival will be held with the support of the City of Zagreb Tourist Board and Zagreb City authorities.
