Zagreb to Host Big International Startup Conference

The City of Zagreb, in co-operation with the Embassy of the State of Israel, the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) and Zagreb Fair, will host Zagreb Connect 2015, a start-up conference which will give the start-up community in Zagreb and the region the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors, institutes and business angles….

“The City of Zagreb recognizes the importance of a growing start-up community and wants to help young entrepreneurs turn their business ideas into successful companies and provide them with an opportunity to present their innovative projects to potential investors. By creating a network of start-ups, business angels, institutions, mentors and students, we want to promote positive entrepreneurial environment in the City of Zagreb,” organisers of Zagreb Connect said.

Zagreb Connect attracted over 350 visitors and programme participants from Croatia, Europe, region, the USA and Israel last year, and more are expected this year.

Zagreb Connect 2015 – Schedule:

Bootcamp – November 11, 2015
A workshop will be held where 15 chosen start-up teams will have the opportunity to work with renowned experts and mentors in order to perfect their presentation skills and prepare as best they can for the pitch competition.
Conference Day – November 12, 2015
Zagreb Connect will host many renowned speakers from the world of start-ups who will share their views and ideas as well as give insight into the current start-up trends. The programme also includes a panel discussion and a pitch competition. Fifteen best start-up projects will have the opportunity to present their business ideas to potential investors and win valuable prizes. The best pitches will be awarded valuable cash prizes.
