Zagreb welcomes first T’way Air flight from Seoul

ZAGREB AIRPORT WELCOMES T’WAY AIR’S INAUGURAL FLIGHT FROM SEOUL TO ZAGREB AS THE FIRST EUROPEAN DESTINATION

Zagreb, May 18, 2024. On Thursday night Zagreb Airport welcomed T’way Air’s inaugural flight from Seoul, South Korea with a traditional water salute.

The flight arrived with 337 passengers on board. The landing of the aircraft marked the reconnection of two capital cities after a hiatus of five years.

The last scheduled flight between Zagreb and Seoul operated at the end of November 2019 and Zagreb Airport is delighted to see this direct link restored.

Flight will be operated three times a week, starting from May 16th until October 26th, using a 347 seater A330-300 type aircraft.

Estimated time of arrival is 19:55, while estimated time of departure is 21:25. Zagreb will be T’way Air’s first destination in Europe and will be followed by Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Frankfurt. Flights can be booked at T’way Air’s website www.twayair.com

Mr. Hong-Geun Jeong, the CEO of T’way Air, said: “T’way Air is committed to developing the tourism industry in Croatia as well as fostering a mutual beneficial relationship between the two countries by promoting more human and material exchanges.”

Mr. Nicolas Duthilleul, the COO of Zagreb Airport, expressed his satisfaction with the reconnection between Soeul and Zagreb. He said: “We’re glad to see two important capital cities reconnected with scheduled flights after 5 years hiatus.

We are aware that Koreans are so much in love with Croatia, and we’ll try our best to provide a smooth and joyful travel experience, as well as nice memories to our guests. We see this year as a start to rebuild  direct connectivity with Korea and will work on extending these flights to year-round with more frequencies and onward connecting options.”
