Hotel Esplanade has expanded its attractive Gourmet drive-through range of take-out dishes to a quick à la carte portion ready to eat

Zagreb’s famous hotel is renowned for its extraordinary cuisine and now they are offering an à la carte collection which can be ordered by phone and picked up in a drive-through system at the back entrance of the hotel. Payment is made upon collection, contactless by credit card or cash, in strict compliance with epidemiological measures. 

Esplanade’s à la carte take-out offer is a combination of top local, fresh ingredients and proven excellent recipes by Esplanade’s world class chefs which represent the perfect “comfort food” in the cold winter days.

What is on offer 

Top-quality steak tartare with butter and crostini, crispy Caesar salad with chicken or shrimp tails in a fine dressing, beef carpaccio with arugula and mustard sauce, hot invigorating soups, creative salads with an oriental twist or the famous baked Esplanade štrukli, aromatic and juicy crispy mushroom cake with Pag cheese, the cult Club sandwich with chicken, bacon, eggs, purple cabbage and mayonnaise combined with potatoes baked in the crust, creamy risotto with Adriatic prawns or one with wild mushrooms and cow curd, classic Le Bistro: veal Viennese steak on butter with creamy potatoes.

Orders for the à la carte dishes to go can only be made to the restaurant by phone. The restaurant receives and issues orders daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., by appointment or approximately 30 minutes from order pick-up. Dishes are packaged in disposable packaging and come with disposable utensils. Accessories and part of the packaging are made of environmentally friendly and biodegradable material.

If you don’t need cutlery, you can emphasise to the staff. Delivery of the order by limousine is possible and is charged additionally – the price is available on request.

Gourmet take-out collection 

The well-known Gourmet take-out collection differs from the à la carte collection and contains larger and family portions, such as quiche Lorraine with smoked salmon or one with bacon, roast lamb shank with roasted polenta and vegetables, wine goulash, veal shoulder roll with potatoes, roasted sea bass with vegetables, roasted duck with grinders and a collection of cakes and desserts, and orders are accepted a minimum of 4 hours to 1 day in advance with payment of the full amount in advance. 

For better taste, some dishes need to be heated briefly at home. Gourmet orders are available every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and are received via e-mail at [email protected] or at 091 604 2257 (by phone or via WhatsApp and Viber).
