Zagreb’s top vegan restaurant BioMania welcomed around thirty guests to a special gastro evening dedicated to unveiling their new dishes.

BioMania, which is ranked in the top 10 vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the world according to TripAdvisor, has proven popular after opening on Tkalčićeva Street a few months ago.

The restaurant, which sources the majority of its ingredients from local family farms in Zagreb and Dalmatia, unveiled their new dishes on Friday night – celery soup, cheese plate (spring edition) and saffron risotto all thoughtfully paired with biodynamic wines and premium ceremonial teas.

In collaboration with partners Nesputana Vina and Tea Time One, BioMania once again demonstrated why it’s a leader in the exploration of premium plant-based dining.

Nastja Novak (Nesputana Vina) curated the wine selection, introducing guests to the philosophy behind biodynamic viticulture and presenting a carefully chosen wine lineup that beautifully complemented the dishes.

Sommelier Željka Bertić Kukić offered deeper insight into the art of food and wine pairing, while Davor Kalvi, ceremonial tea master from Tea Time One, introduced the concept of tea pairing, opening a whole new dimension of gastronomic experience — particularly through his selection of cold brew teas.

Dario Kožul, founder of the BioMania brand, emphasized the significance of such evenings:

“Events like this are a chance to explore new flavors together and push the boundaries of how we experience plant-based gastronomy. We’re especially proud that, with the support of our partners Nesputana Vina and Tea Time One, we could present new dishes paired with biodynamic wines and premium teas.

The synergy of food, wine, and tea opens up a completely new dimension of dining. Working with partners who share our passion for quality and sustainable practices is truly invaluable. Given the great interest we are going to continue with special events in the future.”

Once again, the evening at BioMania proved that plant-based cuisine can offer experiences just as sophisticated and exciting as classical gastronomy — with the added value of sustainability, innovation, and exceptional quality.
