Ten of Croatia’s best skiers, including Olympic medalist Ivica Kostelić, will take part in the women’s event and men’s event which will take place on 4 and 6 January 2015 respectively. Croatia’s number one skier Kostelić will be joined in the men’s slalom by Filip Zubčić, Natko Zrnčić Dim, Matej Vidović, Istok Rodeš and Elias Kolega, whilst new young hopeful Leona Popović, Iva Mišak, Saša Tršinski and Matilda Šola will be competing in the women’s race.

Over 20,000 fans are expected on Sljeme over the two race days, with the event also shown on television around the world. This year’s races will be the 10th anniversary of the FIS Ski World Cup Vip Snow Queen Trophy in Croatia, after last year’s races had to be cancelled because of the lack of snow on the mountain. That is a problem organisers have not had this year.
