ZG Game Marathon: First Zagreb festival dedicated to board games, card games and RPG

First Zagreb festival dedicated to board games, card games (CG, CCG) and RPG will be held on Saturday, September 25th, 2021, on Lake Jarun in Zagreb
On Saturday, September 25th, 2021, on Lake Jarun (next to the Aquarius Club) in Zagreb, you can join ZG Game Marathon, the first Zagreb festival dedicated to board games, card games (CG, CCG) and RPG.
The organizers of the festival are the SFera Science Fiction Society, founded in 1976, which has been continuously organizing domestic and international science fiction conventions and events, and Carta Magica, a company specializing in modern board games and hobby products, founded in 2011.
A series of all-day gaming tournaments (Magic, VTES), gaming quizzes, table miniature board games and playtesting await you at this first tabletop gaming festival. In addition, the main sponsor of the festival, Carta Magica, has provided over 50 board games, which will be available for free play.
In order to promote the Croatian (indie) game development scene, festival visitors will have the opportunity to playtest Croatian games and personally meet their authors, such as the talented Hrvoje Brajčić and his board game Civis Romanvs and imaginative student of design, Mihovil Skelin, who will lead RPG Origins. Goran Dimić – Flo will lead the playtest of his “dungeon crawl” adventure Through the mountain’s guts for the Swedish RPG MÖRK BORG. Zmajeva Garaža community led by DM Davor organizes an Interactive humanitarian D&D Marathon in which absolutely everyone can participate – viewers will be able to influence the game (i.e., insert a monster, change the story, influence the roleplay of DM and characters, etc.).
Creative YouTubers Dice Dragon have prepared an AD&D trivia for hardcore D&D players, a one-time D&D session and a dream character creation workshop. Along with rising stars, you will also meet professional board game designer Filip Neduk, with whom you can play his third board game Sanctum and discuss his professional experiences.
“We also expect the participation from the regional gaming scene; a very interesting Darko Nikolovski from Slovenia with his game Become a partisan, and the board game studio Dažbog Games from Serbia with their satirical card game Overtime,” organisers said.
Admission to the festival is free.
